South Fork American River Water Quality & Recreation Study

Bear River Mercury Removal
Sierra Nevada Conservancy funded the CEQA analysis and the necessary permits for Nevada Irrigation District’s Bear River Mercury Removal Project (3/2008)
CABY Water Trust
The CABY Water Trust, which focuses on the CABY region, is part of a larger
Sierra Water Trust, which will start in May 2008 and was funded by USEPA and the SNC. Contact Elizabeth Soderstrom, American Rivers (1/2008)
Ron Nelson, NID, announced $300,000 in funding from the US EPA for organizing and capacity building on a water trust in the Sierra to acquire water rights from other areas. Project partners include Elizabeth Soderstrom, UC Davis, American Rivers, Sierra Nevada Alliance, and NID. (5/2007)
