Bridging Schools and
Communities in the CABY Watersheds
CABY partnered with the California Regional Environmental Education Community (CREEC) for the Bridging Schools and Communities project. Funded through a Proposition 50 CALFED Watershed Program grant, the project will increase the capacity of watershed management efforts in the northern Sierra foothills regions. It will address multiple objectives identified in the IRWM plan by implementing a K through 12 curriculum that focuses on water supply, water quality, groundwater storage, and impacts of climate change. The four main components of this project are: community engagement, teacher training, outreach, and student educational and stewardship activities.
